As 2025 comes to a close and Christmas is just around the corner edges near, our team wanted to take a moment to say a heartfelt thank you. Whether you organised or took part in a group collection, sent a digital group card or recommended us to a colleague or friend, you’ve been a meaningful part of our journey this year.And what a year it’s been.
Rebuilding GiftRound to be simpler, fairer and completely free with no fees or ‘tips’ for organisers, contributors and recipients.
In 2025, we stripped GiftRound back to its essentials and rebuilt the platform with one goal in mind: make group gifting as simple, joyful and accessible as possible for small businesses, teams, schools, and communities without fees or charges at any point in their group collection.
Here’s what changed this year:

No platform fees to create a group collection
No awkward deductions to cover ‘payment processing’
No tipping prompts.
No ‘pay to send’ moments.

A cleaner, faster and more intuitive experience
We redesigned GiftRound to help people organise group gifts in minutes, whether it’s for a colleague, teacher, friend or family member for to show appreciation to a team.
Built for businesses, teams and communities
We know how important it is for workplaces and groups to show appreciation, especially when time and budgets are tight. Our goal is to remove friction and fees at every step.
As a tiny remote team of four, we’ve lived this rebuild deeply (picture: endless Slack threads, crowded digital whiteboards and too many half-drunk coffees). But every time someone starts a collection or sends a card, it gives us a lift. Your group collections remind us daily of our “why”.
Why word of mouth matters so much to small teams like ours
GiftRound grows almost entirely through recommendations: a colleague mentioning our free group collections at work, a parent sharing a link in a school WhatsApp group, a manager looking for a better way to organise workplace gifts to show appreciation.
