How to organise an online group collection and card

Your 3-step checklist for organising a group collection that's all gift, no fees

1 Create a GiftRound in a few clicks

  • Personalise the appearance by clicking the icons on the areas you’d like to change, collection photo, name etc.
  • Invite contributors using the share icon next to the blue 'Take part' button and use the ‘Public view’ button in the centre of the top of the page to view the collection as contributors will see it, without editing icons and contribution amounts etc.
  • Use the person icon in the top right corner to view your account preferences and all your active and completed GiftRounds.

Handy tip 👋 You can create one GiftRound that can be split between recipients if needed (perfect for teacher gifts!).

2  Contributions coming in

  • GiftRound accepts global contributions and payments can be made with Visa, Mastercard, Amex, Apple Pay or Google Pay. Anyone with the link to the GiftRound can see the comments but only the organiser can see any money contributed.
  • Contributors can edit their comments anytime via their confirmation email and organisers can hide comments if needed.
  • You can extend the collection end date if needed - perfect for those last minute contributions (up to 6 months after creation date).

Handy tip 👋 Contributors can include GIFs or images and use 'Writer’s Block' if they need a little inspiration.

3 Spending and sending the GiftRound

  • With GiftRound, every collection is redeemed as a FlexCard which empowers recipients to choose from any of the 95+ supported brands including John Lewis, M&S, Argos and Currys. They can spend it all in one go or carve it up their way, find out how here.
  • Flexible delivery options: send e-gift cards to yourself (to hand-deliver) or straight to the recipient’s email and you can re-send or download and print FlexCards anytime from your organiser page.
  • Recipients can view the collection page with all the lovely comments and you can download a free group card once the collection ends.

Handy tip 👋 FlexCards are valid for 12 months from the purchase date.

If you're organising a group collection, make sure you check out all the fees used when creating, contributing and spending an online collection with the platform you choose.
